Piston rods, axles, valves and rolls may have a severely reduced life when installed in aggressive environments (eg. hydromechanical equipment, mining industry, paper mill and printing industry). The CeraplatePlus coating also consists of a two layer coating design with metallic bonding layer and a metaloxide top layer. The stainless steel bonding layer is applied by laser welding. The top layer is applied by thermical spraying with the APS-technology (Atmospheric Plasma Spraying). Therefore the CeraplatePlus coating combines the excellent wear protection properties of a metal oxide coating with the outstanding corrosion protection properties of a laser coating. With it the CeraplatePlus coating is unlimited suitable for applications in marine atmosphere and in many offshore applications.
